Hat has marks on brim as shown. Extra feathers included for reattachment if preferred. Jacket marked S for size. Collar and cuffs are real fur, possibly fox or mink but seller is not certain. Colour on both jacket and hat is very vivid. Photos may appear darker.

32 x 21.5 x 13.5 inches. Gold on red Chinese travel trunk for a bride mid-19th century. Wear, breaks, scratches, loss and damage as visible in pictures. Original cloud latches, possibly iron or bronze.

Knight was active and well respected in the Bloomsbury circle and was friends with noted artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant and writer Virginia Wolfe among other members of the Bloomsbury circle in the first quarter of the 20th century.

This is a hard to find 1st edition nicely illustrated copy of children's book, Fifty Famous Stories, with original jacket.
