Label on reverse: Hung in Royal Institute in 1926. Stannard is particularly well known for his country scenes and cottages and has enjoyed the patronage of the Royal Family on many occasions. From the Studio of A.M. Cunningham & Son, Hamilton, Canada. Framed in genuine gold leaf. Henry John Sylvester Stannard (1870-1951) and Lilian Stannard (1877-1944). Henry John Sylvester Stannard and his sister Lilian were the children of Henry Stannard (d. 1920), a sporting painter. Many other members of their family were also artists. Henry John Sylvester Stannard studied at the South Kensington School of Art, winning an art teacher's diploma at the age of sixteen and was elected R.B.A. in 1896. Lilian became a celebrated painter of English gardens. She showed at the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. Guaranteed old and original watercolor painting.

27 1/2" bow span. 'BLO' scratched into handle. 15" base with reed pull cord and wood trigger. Made of 2 different tropical woods, it has a nice patina. Works very well, reed pull cord is tight and taut. No arrows included.

2.15 troy oz. total weight but base is weighted. 2 3/4" diameter, 2 1/2" in height. Birmingham hallmarks on backside.

Ring is size 6 and set in (unmarked but tested) Sterling silver. Total weight 9.45 g. including teardrop shaped natural honey colored Baltic amber. 1 1/4" in length at widest point. Necklace is a 16 1/2" choker comprised of egg yolk and butterscotch natural Baltic amber pieces. Ring display cone not included.

6" diameter plate made of darkly patinaed copper or bronze with fine cloisonne enamel work featuring a long tailed bird against a dark green ground and goldstone or copper inclusions all over. See pics for details, very nice dark patina.

3 vintage Fisher Flair table lighters, from the 1950's. Canadian Pacific Airlines flat advertising lighter, in mint unused condition in original box. 3 Vintage mint in box Zippo items, 2 knives and key ring.

7 bowls with 2 lids, all in excellent condition. Marked on bottom with Japanese mark and S-51. Large bowl 10" diameter, smaller sized bowls 6 1/4" diameter.

35" in length with beautiful individually painted antique 'rooster and flower' beads. Each is approx. 1/2" in diameter.

Ca. 1921-1925 original etching. The Street of Ink. This view captures Fleet Street when it was the centre of the British news industry. The title includes a reference to printers' ink. The view looks east towards Ludgate Hill and Circus, the skyline dominated by the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. Fred Richards studied at the Royal College of Art. He had a highly successful career as a printmaker, benefiting from the booming popularity of etchings in the first quarter of the 20th century. Richards lived in London but travelled widely, gathering subjects for his prints. In 1921, he became a fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers. (7 1/4"w x 8 1/4"h.)

Hallmarked Sterling silver with black bakelite 'coffee bean' ends. 42.6 grams total weight. Comes in original fitted case. Also included is this lot is a 1910 L&B Birmingham cocktail fork set, in original fitted case. (wear to outside case, + missing clasp) Total weight 37.9 grams.

5 old Satsuma porcelain plates, 7 3/4" in diameter each. Excellent condition all hand decorated.

Bracelet marked FNA 925, brooch with red inclusion is marked Sterling and necklace + pendant 925. 60.4 grams total weight of all 3.

Old Royal Doulton candlestick featuring Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales in which three characters ride on horseback. The candlestick is further decorated with a detailed edging and green lining on the rim. It is inscribed with the words: Ye Canterbury Pilgrims. This series was in production from 1909 - 1933. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks, although there is some glaze crazing typical of this type/age of ware.

On french d'arches paper with watermark, printed in sepia. ca. 1870. (5"w. x 6 1/2"h.) Double matted, professionally framed and glazed. (outside frame dimensions: 12"w x 14"h.) John Lewis Brown (1829 – 1892) was a French battle, animal, and genre painter. He was born in Bordeaux of a Scottish family of Stuart partisans. He studied in the École des Beaux-Arts with Camille Roqueplan and Jean-Hillaire Belloc.[1] He is known for his pictures of hunting and military scenes, and his studies of horses and dogs. He painted a number of admirable pictures from the American Revolutionary War, the Seven Years' War, and the Franco-Prussian War of 1870. His presentation is clever and humorous, his work characterized by refinement and charm. The Luxembourg possesses his "Before the Start," the Gallery of Dublin, "The Mountebank." He was also an excellent etcher and aquarellist.

Old die stamped copper penny shaped sign with an Indian in full headdress and 1842 embossed below. 12" diameter. Origin unknown.

Antique Victorian estate jewelry, solid 9 ct gold brooch 2.9 grams total weight, 1 3/4" width. Small blue sapphires (small chips on center stone) and seed pearls. Comes in old velvet lined box, 'F.J. Moist Jewelers & Silversmiths, Ealing'. Brooch hallmarked on back: 'W&J 9 .375'.

Planter and Vase, both unsigned with impressed Japanese imagery. Dragon planter is 'as is', has several holes drilled in spots. 8 1/2" diameter, 7 1/2" h. Vase is 10" in height in excellent condition.

8" in height, 9" including wooden base. Carved from a single block of wood, has glass eyes and only partially remaining top row of mother of pearl teeth. Couple splits in spots and wear to the lacquer, this carving is quite old. He has a bald head, laughing expression, elongated earlobes. Nicely carved piece with walnut turned base as found. Base is lined with chamois on top and bottom.

Geisha girl is 8" in length (couple dents on side- see pics). Dragon planter is 5" in height, 7" in diameter at widest point. Dragon vase is 7 1/2", (one dent on shoulder).

Male and female, 19 1/2" and 17 1/2" in height respectively.

Both in original fitted boxes, gold chased silver plate serving spoons and EPNS demitasse spoons with bakelite 'coffee bean' ends.

New York Graphic Society [1959], Greenwich, CT, 1959. cloth. Vincent Van Gogh (illustrator). Second Edition. Original owners name written inside. Three volumes bound in black cloth with heavily gilt-decorated spines. With tipped-in plates in color and black and white throughout as well as reproductions of all the drawings in the correspondence. Contains all of Vincent's letters known to date and the few surviving ones that Theo wrote to him. A monumental and beautiful work capturing Van Gogh's life and struggles in his own words, printed here for the first time. Excellent unread condition in a slightly shelf worn slipcase.

Framed in middle eastern frame, 4 3/4" height bone piece with enamel painting of turbaned man holding a basket and an axe.

18" strand of ovoid pearls approx. 1/4" wide. 14k gold clasp. Neatly knotted between each pearl.

Etui holds thread and sewing notions and this one includes scissors, and is 6 1/4" in height with them in the top. Also included are two marked sterling thimbles including one inscribed 'HMY 11' (1911).

Cover rubbed with chips to spine ends. Slight darkening to page ends and some foxing. Maroon/gilt leather hardback cover. 135.4 gram Sterling silver tray (11 1/2"w. x 5"w), marked ELA Sterling Mexico. 8 glasses, sterling bases (total weight 52.8 not including shot glasses). Total weight 188.2 grams. All hand worked Sterling silver with original clear glass inserts.

9 3/4" x 7". Heavy gauge, die stamped tin red and white and green lithoed signage. Old with green back, couple small spots of corrosion on back and bend to lower corners. See pics for details.

Vase (3 1/2" height) and old wise man (4" height)sculptures, hand carved from bi-color soapstone. Foo dog is alabaster and 5" in height

Koi Fish watercolor painting printed on silk is 65" in height overall. Mountain scene is 68" in height overall. Wood scrolls on bottom of both.

Both solid brass vintage military artillery shells, have identical bases but different style around rim on both. They are made from 12" - 13" length shells, one stands 14" in height including base and the other 14 1/2".

Both are in excellent condition in original clam-shell boxes and outer boxes. Seiko has a working automatic movement and day/date. Stainless steel with a blue dial. Citizen is a two tone AQ0014-59A Elegance, with day/date. Citizen has a fresh battery installed. Both work well and have little to any wear from use.

6 3/4" diameter plate with some wear to lacquer decoration, 9 1/2" diameter footed compote in very good condition with some light wear to decoration.

16" length and 21" in length.

Bookplate pulled from the 1877 book, 'Le Hashisch - Contes en Prose Sonnets et Poems Fantastiques'. 8 1/2"w. x 5 1/2" h. Framed and glazed, double matted.

5"x 3" x 3 1/2" and 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1". These are both old and very heavy.

1874 print, Flirting on the Seashore and on the Meadow. (Drawn by Winslow Homer). 14 1/2" x 11". Certificate from 1939 for performing in the London Coliseum by the King and Queen. Actual signatures of ?. 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" Framed embroidered scene on linen. 14"x 10 1/2".

Solid .800 silver. Weighs: 119.6 grams or 3.84 troy ounces. (6 1/2"x 5"x 1 1/2"). Marked inside corner of bowl: EZADA 800. see pics for details.

Whitefriars, London, 1897. Burgundy cloth hardcover. Book Condition: used but good. First Edition. Some foxing, spine has been replaced and professionally rebound in the early 20th Cent. A few torn or chipped corner pages .Wear in spots to edges, see pics for details. A Bibliography of the Books Keene illustrated and a Catalogue of his etchings. A wealth of framable art in this volume, there are 143 illustrations, and including one original copper-plate engraving by Keene (Punch 1872) plus a photogravure frontispiece. 289pp.
